সুবর্ণ‐দেউল আমি দেখিনু স্বপনে
অতি‐তুঙ্গ শৃঙ্গ শিরে! সে শৃঙ্গের তলে,

বহু প্রাণী। বহু প্রাণী কাঁদিছে বিকেলে,
না পারি লভিতে যত্নে সে রত্ন‐ভবনে।
ব্যথিল হৃদয় মোর দেখি তা সবারে।—
শিয়রে দাঁড়ায়ে পরে কহিলা ভারতী,
মৃদু হাসি; “ওরে বাছা, না দিলে শকতি
আমি, ও দেউলে কার সাধ্য উঠিবারে?
যশের মন্দির ওই; ওথা যার গতি,
অশক্ত আপনি যম ছুঁইতে রে তারে!
