for it all.
‘We’re grateful to the fans, we have a dedicated fanbase, we weren’t beholden to the studio system.

Terrifier 3 dethrones Joker: Folie À Deux as box office champ
‘This shows Hollywood that we need to start making movies that take risks again.
The star said he had yet to see the panned Joker sequel, saying: ‘I was shocked too as the first Joker film I loved, I’m curious to see why people aren’t
as crazy about the second one.’
Terrifier 3, written and directed by Damien Leone, is an un-rated blood fest,
which has received a 78-percent rating from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have ‘certified’ it ‘hot’ and given it
a healthy 90-percent on the popcornmeter.
The film earned $18.3 million at the box office according to The Numbers.
Landing in third place was Joker: Folie à Deux. After winning the box office competition during its
debut weekend could not overcome the bad reviews, enduring an 82-percent decline in ticket sales.
The movie collected only $7.055 million, in spite of being in more than four thousand theaters across the US.

The musical is ‘poised to lose at least $150 million to $200 million in its theatrical run’ according to the publication.
The movie studio spent about $200 million to produce the film and about $100
million on marketing and distribution, according
to the report.
It would need to gross about $450 million at the box office to break
even — when factoring in the cut taken by theaters — though Warner Bros.
sources claim the number is $375 million.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson responded to the report, saying ‘Any estimates suggested by anonymous “insiders” or “rival executives”
are grossly wrong and continues a trend where rumor is
reported as fact.’
‘The film continues to play in theatrical release, included
with this week’s opening in China, and will continue to
earn revenue throughout its home viewing and ancillary run.’
So far, the musical about Batman’s nemesis has grossed $51.5 million domestically and $165 million globally after two weeks of release.

In comparison, the first Joker grossed $96.2 million domestically and $248.4 million globally after three days of release.
The hotly-anticipated sequel to the 2019 billion dollar Oscar-winning film was considered a surefire hit for Warner
Bros Pictures, yet ended up being slammed by critics and
failed to ignite at the box office.
Joker: Folie À Deux has garnered the lowest CinemaScore in comic book movie history as the film bombed
at the box office on opening night.

>Understanding the Impact of Mental Health on Youth
Mental health challenges can have a profound impact on the well-being
of young people. Certain groups, such as those with disabilities, LGBTQ+ youth, and racial/ethnic minorities, may be more vulnerable
to these challenges. It is important to recognize both biological and environmental factors that contribute to the development of mental health conditions.
Biological factors, such as genetics and brain chemistry,
play a role, as do environmental factors like life experiences.
By understanding these factors, we can better
support young people’s mental health needs.
The impact of mental health on physical health should also
be recognized. Neglecting mental health can lead to severe
physical health conditions, as the two are interconnected.
This highlights the importance of taking a holistic
approach to overall well-being. By addressing mental health challenges, we
can promote better physical health outcomes for young people.
Table: Impact of Mental Health on Physical Health
Mental Health Conditions Physical Health Impact
Anxiety Increased risk of heart disease and other cardiovascular problems
Depression Greater susceptibility to chronic physical illnesses
Eating Disorders Malnutrition, electrolyte imbalances,
and organ damage
Substance Abuse Liver damage, respiratory issues, and increased
risk of infectious diseases
Self-Harm Potential for permanent physical harm and scarring
“Mental health conditions significantly affect the lives of young people, and taking care of both their mental and physical well-being is crucial. By understanding the impact of mental health on youth and addressing the underlying factors, we can support the overall health and well-being of young people.” – Dr.
Jane Johnson, Child Psychiatrist
Recognizing the impact of mental health challenges on youth
is vital for creating a supportive environment. By promoting
awareness, destigmatizing mental health, and providing appropriate resources and interventions, we can help young people thrive and lead fulfilling
lives.
Supporting Youth Mental Health: What Parents Can Do
Parents play a vital role in supporting their child’s mental health.
By engaging in open conversations and actively listening to your
child, you create a safe space for them to express their thoughts and emotions.
By validating their feelings and experiences, you can help them feel understood and supported.
It’s important to prioritize these conversations and make them a regular part of your family dynamics.
Recognizing signs of distress is crucial in identifying when your child may need help.
Keep an eye out for changes in their mood, behavior,
academic performance, as well as any disruptions in their sleep or eating patterns.
If you notice concerning changes, it’s important to let your child know that you are there for them and encourage them to
seek help. In addition to your support, connecting them with school counseling
services or other available resources in your community can provide them with the professional guidance they
may need.
Remember, supporting your child’s mental health is a collaborative effort.
Stay actively engaged with their school and communicate with teachers and counselors to ensure
they’re receiving the support they need. By working together, parents,
schools, and community organizations can create a supportive ecosystem that promotes the well-being of our youth.

positive mental health among young people. Creating a safe and supportive school
environment is essential in fostering the well-being of students.
By implementing social and emotional learning programs,
schools can help students develop important skills for managing their emotions,
building healthy relationships, and making responsible decisions.
These programs also contribute to the development of positive school environments, where students feel valued, supported, and included.
Recognizing signs of distress among students is another important aspect of supporting youth mental health.
Teachers and school staff should be trained to identify
behavioral changes, academic decline, and signs of emotional distress.
By being proactive in recognizing these signs, schools can intervene early and direct students to appropriate support services,
both within the school and in the wider community.
School-based mental health support is also crucial in addressing the mental health needs of students.
Many schools have counseling services or access to mental health professionals who can provide individual or group therapy sessions.
These services can help students navigate challenges and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
Collaboration with families is essential in ensuring a holistic
approach to supporting youth mental health. Schools should establish effective

towards mental health. Responsible media coverage can play a
crucial role in promoting youth mental health and reducing stigma.
By providing positive portrayals of mental health issues, the media can contribute
to changing societal attitudes and fostering empathy and understanding.
Storytelling is a powerful tool that the media can harness to raise awareness about youth mental health.
By sharing stories of individuals who have overcome challenges and found
hope and help, the media can inspire others to seek support and engage
in suicide prevention efforts. These stories can also serve as a reminder that recovery
is possible and that no one is alone in their struggles.
“Media outlets have a responsibility to provide accurate and responsible information about mental health.”
However, it is important for media outlets to approach
mental health coverage with caution and sensitivity. Irresponsible or sensationalized reporting can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and misinformation, further stigmatizing those with mental health conditions.

Aussie actor Russell Crowe has always worn his heart on his
sleeve – sometimes to his detriment – but he has
vowed to reel it in when watching his beloved Souths
play NRL matches from now on.
Crowe became a co-owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 2006, alongside businessman Peter
Holmes à Court, with the aim of revitalising the NRL club that
was struggling at the time.
Under his leadership, the Rabbitohs achieved financial stability and secured a premiership victory in 2014, ending a 43-year
drought.
Crowe was instrumental in recruiting star players like Sam Burgess and Greg Inglis to the team, which significantly improved their performance.
He has often been seen passionately supporting
the Rabbitohs at games, with media capturing moments of his
animated reactions during key matches.
However the Gladiator star has vowed to show more of a poker face at future games for
one big reason.
Hollywood actor Russell Crowe is a part owner of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and is a constant figure in the stands of home games
Crowe bought into the club in 2006 and has been a passionate supporter of the club since he was a
child
Crowe, who was instrumental in bringing premiership players like
Greg Inglis and Sam Burgess (pictured) to the club,
has vowed to temper his emotions from now on
‘Nah [losing doesn’t impact my mood]…it is what it is,
I can’t affect that outcome so you sort of just have
to accept what’s going on,’ he told Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie.
‘A long time ago when I’d be going to Rabbitohs games when my kids
were little and stuff, and I realised that by showing my passion in the
grandstands was potentially giving the media outlets
a way of mentally affecting the team.
‘There was all these photos of me strangling the imaginary
referee.
‘So, I thought, ‘I’m gonna stop doing that’. I’d go
to a game and see what happens then I’d go backstage and you can swear.
‘But when I’m watching the game, I try and keep my cool…because you
know I think about it from the players’ perspective.
They don’t want to see the boss looking like he’s pissed off in the Monday newspaper.
So you’ve got to be cool about it.’
Souths fans – including Crowe – endured a torrid 2024 season, finishing 16th with a 7-17 record.
Injuries and suspensions played their part but defensive frailties were the biggest issue,
with the Rabbitohs conceding an average of 28.4 points per
game – their worst since 2006.
The Rabbitohs have gone back to the future by sacking coach Jason Demetriou and
re-instating former mentor Wayne Bennett
Souths fans will be hoping to see a fit and firing Latrell
Mitchell back on the park next season
Injuries compounded their struggles, with key players like Campbell Graham missing the entire season and Latrell Mitchell limited to 11 appearances.
The season’s disappointments led to the dismissal of coach Jason Demetriou, with Wayne Bennett set to return as head coach in 2025.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Rabbitohs have bolstered their
roster by signing English halfback Lewis
Dodd, Euan Aitken and Josh Schuster.
The 2025 season kicks off with a match against Bennett’s former club the Dolphins.

Up the great staircase trooped the 2,500 guests, resplendent in tiaras and jewels or white tie
and tails, to be greeted by their hostess, the Marchioness of
Londonderry, glamorous in a clinging black satin Paris dress.
Either side of her impressive cleavage gleamed great swathes of
diamonds. Round her neck hung a heavy row of pearls that fell
below her waist. On her head was the largest of the Londonderry tiaras, so big it was known in the family as ‘the fender’.

Beside her stood her handsome husband Charles, the seventh Marquess of Londonderry, and the Prime Minister, Lloyd George.
That November night in 1919 was Edith Londonderry’s first Eve of Parliament
reception, a tradition that continued for 20-odd years.

Londonderry House, like many of London’s great houses, was built for
entertaining. In the 18th and 19th centuries,
most aristocrats and others who lived on their estates for much of the year had a town house to which they migrated for ‘the
Season’ – those summer months filled with balls and parties, when débutantes were presented
at court and launched into ‘society’ in the hope of making a splendid marriage.
The ballroom, Devonshire House
These houses were as magnificent as their owners could manage.
Built and decorated by the most talented of the age, they were sumptuously furnished –
walls were hung with silk, damask and wonderful paintings – and often embellished with
marble statuary. The mustard-yellow drawing rooms of Londonderry House were filled
with blue Sèvres vases and gold plate; in the entrance hall stood
a Canova statue of Theseus and the Minotaur (now in the Victoria and Albert Museum).
Suites of rooms, with a ballroom at one end, could be flung open for entertaining.
Georgiana Cavendish (1757-1806), a lover of gambling – and threesomes
Today most of these palatial mansions have been pulled down or turned into blocks of flats.
With their disappearance went their furnishings, objets and paintings.
But what their wonderful rooms looked like can be seen in London: Lost Interiors, a book compiled from superb
black-and-white photographs of these amazing houses,
some of which belonged to aristocratic landowners, others to plutocrats or society figures.
The drawing room, Grosvenor House
Most of the townhouses – those used for the Season rather than permanent residences – were clustered round Park Lane,
Mayfair or on Piccadilly, like Devonshire House.
Here once lived the fifth Duke of Devonshire and his
wife Georgiana (pronounced jaw-janer), whom he had married
in 1774 when she was just 17. She was a celebrated beauty who quickly
became a leader of fashion, famous for her towering hairstyles three feet high, decorated with birds, fruit, even ships in sail.
The couple spent 20 years in a ménage à trois with Lady Elizabeth Foster, Georgiana’s
close friend, who was also the Duke’s mistress.
Meanwhile, Georgiana’s gambling led to mounting debts: on her death in 1806 they were found to be the
equivalent of £4 million in today’s money.
The rich, restless second Duke of Westminster, AKA Bendor, in his 20s
Another Park Lane mansion was Grosvenor House, belonging to the dukes
of Westminster and one of the largest in London, as befitted the family’s status and wealth (their huge fortune came from their ownership of
Mayfair). Bendor, the blond and handsome second duke (1879-1953)
was known as one of the richest men in England, lavishing jewels on his mistresses,
chief among whom was Coco Chanel.
The picture gallery, Grosvenor House
A restless soul, Bendor would arrive without warning at any of his houses (or yachts).
All were kept ready: cars fuelled, silver polished,
servants in livery. But after the First World War, during which Grosvenor House had been requisitioned as a
hospital, land prices had risen so high that even for Bendor it had become uneconomic and he sold it.
It was demolished in 1927 and the Grosvenor House Hotel
was built on the site.
Designer Oliver Messel, Devonshire House, 1934
At the other end of the scale was 8 Pelham Place,
the South Kensington home of Cecil Beaton from 1940 to 1975.
Superbly furnished by this brilliant photographer, it was described loftily by the diarist Chips Channon (for whom the
word ‘snob’ could have been invented – in his diaries
he declares, ‘I am only really happy with royalty’) as ‘a tiny but super-attractive snuffbox of a house’.
Beaton, himself no social slouch, ran him close:
at his parties the women often wore stiletto heels,
which pitted the floor, and later he would point them out, saying,
‘That’s Princess Marina, that’s Julie Andrews, that’s Vivien Leigh…’
French furnishings at 8 Pelham Place, the South Kensington home of Cecil Beaton
Beaton’s near neighbour in Pelham Place, until the mid-60s, was the great stage
designer Oliver Messel. When Messel’s nephew Tony
Armstrong-Jones (later Lord Snowdon) became engaged to Princess Margaret, Messel
laid on a lunch, asking the Princess if there was anyone she would particularly like
to meet. She said she had always greatly admired the witty cabaret star Bea Lillie and so Messel invited
her.
What none of them knew was that Bea Lillie had a drinking
habit. At the end of lunch she slid quietly under
the table and was carried upstairs to sleep it off. Tony and the Princess took
their leave and Messel rushed back to his studio, where he was busy
with fittings for Elizabeth Taylor, only to be interrupted by a
telephone call.
Cecil Beaton at home in Pelham Place, 1947
‘It’s Kensington Police Station here, Mr Messel,’ said the voice
at the other end. ‘We thought you ought to know that
there’s a naked woman on your balcony, throwing bottles at everyone who
passes by.’
Among the last of these fascinating residences to survive
was the aforementioned Londonderry House. Throughout
the 20s and 30s it had seen receptions and balls, hosted by the Londonderrys for their four daughters and two granddaughters.
When eventually it had to go, in July 1962, a farewell party for 300 was given by Alastair,
the 9th Marquess. Live sounds were supplied by a blues band featuring a swaggering young Mick Jagger, no less – presaging the rise of a whole new
swinging London generation.

want to strike a balance of style, comfort and practicality.
The day often involves a mix of eating, lounging, socializing,
and possibly outdoor activities so finding an outfit that’s both chic and cozy can be challenging.

be forgiving at the waist but formal enough for all the pics!

for every kind of celebration.

SPIRITED COLORS
Warm, earthy tones that mimic fall foliage are the best colors to wear
on Turkey Day.
While black may seem like a logical choice for eating a large meal, festive
tones like burnt orange, mustard yellow, forest green, browns and burgundy are a beautiful alternative for the season.
Burnt orange: Evokes feelings of comfort and warmth, and is associated with foliage, fireplaces, and
pumpkins.
Mustard yellow: Captures the essence of the season by resembling the color of
changing leaves.
Forest green: Associated with nature, it aligns with the theme of the holiday.
Browns: Perceived as warm and inviting, brown shades like chocolate, caramel
and camel, are perfect for a family gathering.
Burgundy: This year’s hottest color, burgundy lends an air of sophistication.
Cream: Natural yet elegant, the neutral creates balance.
Gold: Adds a luxurious touch to any look.
Layering these color with textured fabrics, like knits or suede and a touch of silk, can create a stylish, seasonally appropriate look.

NON-RESTRICTIVE SILHOUETTES
Comfortable and forgiving waistlines are highly desired on Thanksgiving.
Elastic waistbands: The stretch of the fabric allows
for stomach expansion and a second serving
of dessert!
Empire waist: The fitted bodice ends just below
the bust (instead of at the waistline) and extends to a flowing skirt.
Drawstring: Allows for easy adjustments throughout the day offering a more
relaxed fit than a traditional button and zipper closure.
A-line: Flaring out at the hips, the “A” shape provides movement without the discomfort of a waistband.
Wrap style: Most are made from soft, stretchy fabric, allowing the wearer to tighten or loosen the garment as
needed.
