একটি বিড়াল একা বাহান্নটি থাবা গুনে গুনে
উঠে গেলো সিঁড়ির উপরে
লোহার ঘোরানো সিঁড়ি, সিঁড়ির উপরে
সবার অলক্ষ্যে কালো সিঁড়ির উপরে।
শুধু আমিই দেখেছি
তার দ্বিধান্বিত ভঙ্গি
তার বিষণ্ণতা।
জন্মদিনে কিছু ফুল পাওয়া গিয়েছিলো
এখন শুকিয়ে গেছে।
